Job Title: Operations Manager
Location: Clapham, London
Salary: Circa £35,000 - £40,000
Position: Permanent, Full Time
Job Description:
The Operations Manager will oversee the daily workings for our Building & Maintenance division. Plans, manages and implements schedules to ensure deadlines are met, and maintains a high quality of standard of service and business delivery.
You will deliver exceptional customer service and support to the team/Directors.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Manage the growth and success of the team
- Co-ordinates activities that affect operational decisions and business requirements
- Responsible for the delivery, procurement, and planning of daily operations
- Communicate with all relevant employees to ensure deadlines are met, and are being met on a cost-effective basis
- Manage stock control, and check inventory records are accurate
- Ensure the delivery team has enough time to deliver services based on the clients' request
- Analyse P&L on a monthly basis
- Create a detailed schedule based on strict deadlines
- Communicate any changes to customers and within the team or to relevant third parties
- Ensure targets are met on daily, weekly and monthly basis
- Research and implement growth within the company
- Send daily, weekly and monthly reports to Directors
- Conduct team meeting twice a day
- Ensure we have a pipeline of jobs
- Follow up on sales leads and follow up on customers
- Dealing with customer complaints
- Organise, plan and implement operational activity
- Ensure that health and safety regulations are followed
- Provide guidance to team
- Cover the office when required (this includes writing quotations, booking quotes/job requests, sending invoices)

Key Competencies:
- Knowledge of the building and maintenance trade
- Experience working within the construction/building and maintenance industry
- Experience of managing P&L and budgeting
- Management experience
- Excel and Microsoft experience
- Problem solver & ability to make decisions based on customer service and cost
- A good re-call/memory of ongoing jobs
- Organised, ability to prioritise and work under pressure
- Be target orientated
- Quick-learner and eager to learn
