Our client is a vibrant charity supporting adults and children in crisis. They are looking for a Team Manager for their Wandsworth Mental Health Rehabilitation and Recovery Service. They deliver support and interventions to 60 service users with mental health issues living in accommodation services across the Borough. The focus of the service is to provide medium to long term focused rehabilitation and recovery support to adults with complex and enduring Mental Health conditions.

Person specification:

  • Demonstrable experience of managing accommodation-based support services for people with mental health and complex needs, knowledge of issues affecting those individuals
  • Demonstrable experience of recruitment, induction, supervision, motivation, appraisal, training, discipline and grievance issues
  • Experience of performance monitoring and delivering consistently high delivery standards and service user standards.
  • Ability and experience of managing complex budgets and keeping within budget
  • Excellent knowledge of Community Care, Mental health, Health and Safety and welfare benefits legislation (including welfare reform)
  • Excellent level of spoken and written English
  • Knowledge of methods of assessing, formulating, implementing, recording, reviewing and auditing service users’ support and safety assessment plans
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • Ability to write & interpret complex reports
  • Knowledge and demonstrable experience of housing pathways, housing legislation and housing management experience including income collection from personal service charges and Housing Benefit.
  • Ability to work flexibly including limited out of hours working during the evening, weekends / bank holidays
  • Ability to complete and record accurate financial transactions and knowledge of managing budgets
  • Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding issues and ability to address them appropriately.
