An Estimator/Quantity Surveyor is required for a specialist multi-disciplinary practice based in Leeds City Centre. This a great opportunity to join a practice that consists of Architects, Designers, Town Planners, Project Managers, and Quantity Surveyors.
The practice currently employs over 50 staff and they are looking for an Estimator/Quantity Surveyor to join them and support the growing workload. The practice believes in making people's lives' better and improving their work environment. There is a company ethos of define, design and deliver that is taking into every project no matter the value of it.
I am looking for an Estimator/Quantity Surveyor who can combine their site experience with quantity surveying skills and who has a commercial awareness and financial understanding. The position will involve ensuring contracts are carried out within budget and achieving the best price for a contract in a bidding situation.
What will you be doing?
* Gather proposals, specifications, and related documents and prepare work/reports to be estimated on this
* Present estimates based on analysing and collection information and the newest trends
* Maintain cost database
* Work within teams independently on your own
* Resolve issues and analyse information
* Ensuring projects carried out on budget
Salary & Benefits
Between GBP25,000-GBP40,000 depending on previous experience. Flexible working hours, company pension, discretionary bonus.
What is expected?
* Proven experience of communicating with team members and clients
* Knowledge working on commercial furniture and fit out for commercial/office to residential projects
* Strong Math's & IT skills
* Ability to data collect and analysis for current and existing projects
* Previous experience of presenting reports and maintaining databases
