Senior HR Advisor
Full Time - 5 days a week, 9am - 5.30pm
Salary commensurate with experience
Location: Taunton, Somerset (although some travel will be required)
Hours: Monday to Friday
Job title: Senior HR Advisor
The company provides outsourced HR advice and support to small and medium sized business in and around the West Country and London. Due to a rapid growth in business, the company is looking to recruit a Senior HR Advisor to support its growing portfolio of clients. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a variety of companies, across multiple business sectors, dealing with the full range of HR activities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing telephone and email advice to clients on all aspects of HR with a particular focus on employee relations and employment law.
* Creating and issuing letters and documents which support the HR advice provided to clients.
* Assisting clients on site with redundancy programmes, performance management, disciplinaries, grievances, appraisals and TUPE matters.
* Chairing formal meetings on behalf of clients.
* Supporting client recruitment activities.
* Updating and developing client policies, procedures and staff handbooks to ensure compliance with employment law and good HR practice.
* Liaising with clients to further enhance strong business relations.
* Following up on new leads and opportunities with new and existing clients.
* Project work that may include HR systems development and implementation.
Candidate Requirements:
* The ideal candidate will have a generalist HR background with strong employment law knowledge and be part of fully CIPD qualified.
* They must have an excellent telephone manner and be commercially aware of the needs of small businesses.
* HR experience over various business sectors is desirable.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Ability to manage complex tasks and prioritise workload in order to meet deadlines
