We are seeking a friendly, professional, well presented person to lead our small team of staff in our member's club. As the Club Steward, you will be responsible for managing, planning, monitoring and controlling all aspects of club and its facilities. The key aim of this role is to provide club members with a consistently good experience by achieving and maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness and hospitality.

As the Club Steward your duties will include:

* Ensure the bar is opened and closed in accordance with the Club's licensing hours.

* Ensure bar equipment is maintained in good working order and the bar equipment, bar area, cellar and storage areas are regularly cleaned

* To promote and preserve the goodwill, reputation and interests of the Club and to ensure the standards and traditions of the Club are upheld

* To handle cash and keys responsibly and according to policy

* A strong work ethic, the ability to work long hours, and a commitment to succeed

* To achieve agreed standard of service, ensure relevant product knowledge and train the team to reach the highest levels of customer satisfaction

* Stock control and ordering

* Cellar management including Line cleaning

* To report any problems to the club secretary or a member of the committee

* Ensures there is sufficient and appropriate staffing available at all times

* Plans and manages the purchase stock. Ensures sufficient stock is available at all times and that stock is in date and correctly rotated.

* Plans and implements an auditable stock control system and maintains appropriate records relating to wastage, consumption, ordering and returns.

* Responds promptly to matters raised by members or their guests - ensuring that all issues are dealt with and that they are recorded for review by the committee

* You will have the enthusiasm to work with the Committee to try & promote the Club to achieve growth in sales and membership

* Comply with any reasonable requests from the secretary / committee

Skills / Experience

* Possesses strong leadership skills

* Strong communication skills

* Ability to lead, train, motivate and manage a team

* Previous management experience in a similar role
