Refrigeration Engineer / Chiller Service Engineer
We have an opportunity for a field based engineer to join a truly market leading company's hire division in the UK. This is a great opportunity to join a large company in a busy field based position installing and servicing rental industrial chillers and boilers.
The position is a physically demanding role and will include working at height.
The Job
You will travel extensively throughout the North and Midlands to complete install projects lasting 1 -3 days, then return to decommission at the end of hire.
You will install temporary / hire refrigeration and boiler equipment along with all associated equipment such as pumps, electrics, cables, hose, tanks.
Working in small teams you will be customer facing and therefore representing the company.
Sites will include factories, warehouses, commercial & office buildings, outdoor public events, schools, nursing homes and lots more. Anywhere there is a demand for commercial / industrial heating or cooling!
The job is varied day to day and each install throws up its own problems which you'll need to solve.
Training & Progression
Cherry picker and working at height training can be provided, along with extensive equipment training.
On days when not installing equipment you will attend the depot to repair, service and maintain hire equipment back into service.
Promotion - many of the existing team have been in the company for several years and have developed through the ranks to more senior and leadership roles.
You
Lots of hands on mechanical engineering and electrical and problem solving skills
Physically fit -this is a physically demanding job with heavy equipment, hoses and cables
Full driving licence - essential
Knowledge of pumps, boilers, fluids, refrigeration would be beneficial.
Great attitude to hard work and flexibility to work and travel extensively (some overnight stays required)
It could suit an ex-services engineer or a service engineer, maintenance engineer or installation engineer or mechanic who is looking for a field based job which challenging, fast paced with jobs of travel.
Package
Salary circa GBP22k - GBP26k + plenty of overtime which you'll earn driving to and from site
Overtime you can expect to earn an extra GBP10k - GBP15k
