Tinies are currently supporting a day nursery which is an Award Winning provider of high quality early years learning and care. In line with our commitment to ensuring that our children receive a healthy and nutritious diet we are looking to recruit a nursery Chef based in St Albans.
About the nursery:
This day nursery has been rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted since June 2017. It is a 48-place nursery and we look care for children from 3 months to 5 years.
Your role will include:
• Providing nutritionally balanced meals and snacks to the children within the nursery throughout the day
• An excellent understanding of food intolerances, allergies and dietary requirements
• Responsibility for the cleanliness of all kitchen equipment, the kitchen and food storage areas.
• Adhere to all Health & Safety policies and legislation
• Monday to Friday 8.30-5pm (Flexibility for either more or less hours is available)
• Competitive salary GBP9.30per hour
Key Attributes we are looking for in the Nursery Chef:
• Previous experience of working in a kitchen, preferably working within Early Years, Schools or Elderly care.
• Hold a basic Food Hygiene certificate
• Being passionate about preparing fresh, balanced, nutritious meals for the babies and children in the nursery
• Good hygiene practice is essential
