Mask & Cylinder Technician

Job Summary

As a Mask & Cylinder Technician you are responsible to carry out routine inspections of aircraft safety equipment including oxygen cylinders, masks and escape slide inflation systems.

Responsibilities:

• Allocate the parts required for the particular job, based on the relevant works order
• Follow all Health & Safety rules and guidelines
• Carry out survey of equipment and allocation of spare parts
• Carry out necessary repairs
• Completion of repair reports
• Refilling of cylinders
• Perform each step of the process in a careful and safe manner
• Monitor quality of own work and repairs
• Monitor the product ensuring that it is meeting the required specification
• Provide training and support to other less experienced members of the team
• Share ideas for improvement with your Team Leader

Requirements

• Be a team player but also able to work independently when needed
• Be pro-active - seek work out when tasks are completed
• Have a can-do attitude
• Have good literacy and numeracy skills
• Be computer literate
• Have excellent attention to detail
• Strong work ethic

Preferable experience:

• Engineering experience within the aviation industry or similar i.e. automotive
• Working with and in-line with a manual
• Working in-line with industry specific regulations i.e EASA Part 145, FAA, TCCA
• Working with hand-tools
