Electronic Engineer - HNC Qualified

My client is a leading designer and manufacturer of highly specialist veterinary life support and monitoring equipment which is supplied to veterinarians throughout the World. They have a small team of specialists operating near Newton Abbott and are exclusively working with us to recruit a Production Manager for their busy manufacturing facility. This is a key appointment within the business where future growth is assured for the right person in a demanding role where the successful applicant can achieve high levels of job satisfaction as part of a close-knit team.
The Production Manager requires a sound electronics background (to at least HNC level), familiarity with stock procurement and must be able to work in a small team and have good people management skills. As the senior technician, the role involves providing technical support to overseas customers and may include travel to Europe for machine servicing and repairs.
Responsibilities and duties:
* Manage a team of four production technicians
* Stock ordering from BOM's
* Stock control
* Responsible for production deadlines, product documentation and product testing
Qualifications & skills
* HNC in Electronics
* 2+ years in a supervisory role of 4 or more people
* Proven project and people management skills
* Experience of stock control and ordering within the electronics sector
* Experience of working directly with customers
