My client, a leading supplier of agricultural equipment for the UK market, are looking to strengthen their service engineering offering this year with the recruitment of an experienced Workshop Technician to their Cambridgeshire based site.
As part of the existing team, you will work closely to maintain the highest level of After Sales Support to the clients UK customer base. The successful candidate must have a sound technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems, preferably gained in an agricultural or plant machinery environment. Knowledge of a wide range of agricultural machinery would be an advantage, although full product training will be given. To be successful in this role you will need to be self-motivated, able to work alone and as part of a team with a flexible approach. This role will be a based on sites around the UK, so the expectation is that you will be travelling most of the time, usually within a days travel but occasionally overnight stays will be expected as part of your working week.
Responsibilities
Main duties expected of the candidate include but are not limited to:
- Reporting faults to relevant parties
- Stripping down, fault finding and replacing parts
- Servicing, maintenance and repairs of agricultural machinery
- Complete job sheets and complete forms for warranty claims
- Experience in welding would be advantageous but not essential
- Assisting and attending breakdowns
Ideally you will be technically proficient in a variety of engineering tasks used in the repair, maintenance and assembly of a wide range of machinery, and have prior experience of working in a Service engineering role. You will be diligent, with a high attention to detail and take pride in the work you undertake. A positive attitude, along with being reliable and organised is key
