Machinist

We are currently searching for several Machine Minders to competently operate machines in Keighley. This is a key role within the production team and the succesful candidate will be enthusiastic.

The main responsibilities within this role will be to ensure:

• The machines run at the optimum efficiency and meet agreed targets, reporting and recording faults and down time
• Machines are kept clean and in good working order, completing any pre start checks and paperwork as appropriate
• Monitoring the work area to ensure the workplace is safe and all machinery is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness
• Collaborating effectively with the Packaging Team/ Packaging Coordinator to ensure that all labels, packaging and film is on the line and ready to use in good time before job is ready

Experience Required:

• Good level of understanding of the English language
• Understanding of health and safety policies in the work place
• Experience of working with factory environment
• Good practical skills
• The ability to work quickly and methodically
• Excellent team working skills with the ability to work on own initiative
• The ability to follow instructions

To be successful in this role you will; enjoy "owning your own area", be able to work using your own initiative, have good attention to detail. You will also operate well as part of a team, and have good verbal communication skills. Previous machine minding experience would also be an advantage, however full training in this area will be provided to the successful candidate.

Pay: GBP9.20/ hour

These are shift pattern: 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm rotation or 10pm- 6am fixed night shift
