Job Purpose:

To manage a limited number of grants schemes directly, and to take a part in assisting both the Grants Manager and the administration team with general grants administration work.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assess applications to grants funds within set timescales
  • Undertake monitoring visits in the proportion agreed by the Management Team
  • Support individuals/groups with their application
  • Process the applications through to completion
  • Ensure the information entered into online management system is accurate and complete
  • Develop fund literature and documents to communicate with applicants and referral agencies
  • Contribute to the organisational publicity/donor materials
  • Produce internal reports on fund activities
  • Identify and ensure best practice, value and procedures are adhered to
  • Work as part of a team ensuring that all team functions are covered in times of staff absence
  • Attend funding fairs and seminars to distribute information about available grants
  • Liaise with donors regarding the scheduling of face-to-face visits to funded organisation, if appropriate, arranging photography and PR releases.
  • Attend meetings of grant giving panels

Further Requirements

  • Participate in training and information briefings and maintain an up to date knowledge of the voluntary sector.
  • Attend and contribute to regular staff and liaison meetings.
  • Assist in preparing quarterly monitoring reports outlining progress of the work, and key issues raised by Trustees.
  • To undertake any other duties as prescribed, commensurate with salary and job description.
  • Undertake such personal training as may be required to keep up to date and fulfil the professional requirements identified for this job description.
  • To have a collaborative and flexible approach to work undertaken by The Community Foundation for Staffordshire.
