Purpose of role and key accountabilities:
* To liaise directly with both production and customers providing up-to-date progress of sales orders within the company. To also progress purchase orders through subcontracting treatment/machining centres
* Track progress to plan and identify any problem areas at the earliest point to ensure that promise dates provided to customers are met OTIF
* Liaise with manufacturing and purchasing personnel accordingly to ensure that the plan is being followed and material deliveries match the production requirement
* Ensure any queries are communicated to the customer at the earliest point of the problem arising
* Cleanse Sales Orders Maintenance to ensure that current orders are up-to-date
* Track progress through subcontractors
Core skills/attributes needed:
* Knowledge of production processes, preferably within the aerospace or automotive industry
* Strong customer focus combined with business development skills/ commercial awareness
* Problem analysis and decision making
* Interpersonal skills / influencing
* Commitment to continual improvement
The employee must also strive to support the elements of the SQCDP framework of the wider Gardner business;

Measurable performance indicators/objectives of role:
* Timely supply of product to our customers, 100% OTIF
An annual appraisal will be held to ensure the employee and their Line Manager is happy with their performance, progress and development. Further reviews may also be held to discuss any ongoing training needs of the employee
