Search Global is looking for Surveyor to accurately survey underground and surface work, surface stockpiles and updates survey progress prints and other drawings to ensure accurate and timely information is available to execute the mine plan and reconcile performance.

Responsibilities
Manage on a daily basis the underground surveying needs for development, drilling and construction.
Update the mine as-built survey data and issue survey progress prints.
Carry out pickups and estimations for period-end calculations. Perform period-end calculations and maintain files with results.
Perform check surveys as required for quality control.
Perform ventilation monitoring, rock bolt pull testing and other tasks.
Carry out CMS (Cavity Monitoring System) Surveys on a routine basis.
Demonstrate awareness and commitment to health, community and environmental protection and take action to ensure that unsafe practices or non-compliant behaviours do not occur.
Inform, involve and engage key internal and external stakeholders appropriately; develop and maintain positive relationships and represent company positively in the community
Other such duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of vertical surveying experience, tunnels, high buildings, mining, elevator shafts
Diploma in Engineering or Surveying.
AutoCad and Mine Design software experience a necessity.
Deswik or MineCAD experience is preferred.
Hands-on, self-sufficient and demonstrates a positive, can-do attitude.
Cold weather experience is an asset.
Intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office.
