CATIA V5 Design Engineer
STEVENAGE
Our client is a world leader in the design and manufacture of satellite systems. Their activities cover complete civil and military telecommunications and Earth observation systems, science and navigation programmes, together with avionics and a wide range of space equipment and associated ground infrastructure.
They are recruiting for a CATIA V5 Design Engineer to work on high-value Earth Navigation Space Mission projects within an international company. This is a Contract position for 6 months and will be based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire.
Outline Job Profile:
1.) Design of coax and/or waveguide routings. Training will be given in the use of CATIA V5 wave guide and tubing workbenches etc.
2.) Creation of models and drawings for both details and assemblies.
3.) 3D Solid Modeling.
4.) 2D Detailing.
Qualifications and/or Skills:
Essential:
HNC in Mechanical Engineering with a good Engineering or equivalent
Good communication skills at all levels.
Currently using or have been using CATIA V5 within the last 6 months.
Desirable:
Knowledge of VPM and PDM system.
Ability to work with minimum supervision.
Previous Experience:
Essential:
Good working knowledge of 3D modeling and 2D drafting within CATIA V5 design environment.
Demonstrable experience of design of coax and/or waveguide routings.
Creation of models and drawings for both details and assemblies.
Desirable:
Aerospace experience, mechanical design.
CATIA V6 experience
