We are currently recruiting for a Building Surveyor role, for a local authority based in the North London area. This an initial 3-month contract (with a view for extension) and we are looking for candidates who can start immediately.
The Role:
* Working in the Corporate Property services team.
* To provide an exceptional customer based delivery of building surveying services across the property portfolio of nearly 200 commercial properties including sports centres, care homes, tenants halls, parks & open spaces, libraries, depots, cemeteries; administration & operational properties; etc. incorporating day to day repairs, planned maintenance and capital programme works, maintaining close liaisons with building occupiers and commercial tenants.
* You will manage reactive repairs, planned maintenance and capital programme works to the property portfolio, ensuring that all health & safety and environmental management issues are addressed.
Requirements:
* Knowledge and experience of project & maintenance work within the Commercial Sector Knowledge and experience of implementing the requirements of Health & Safety and associated legislation, in particular the Health and Safety at Work Act (H&SAWA), EEC directives and CDM regulations.
* Effective management and control of consultants and facilities management contractors.
