An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced and enthusiastic Payroll Administrator to join a busy public sector organisation on a temporary to permanent basis based in Leeds City Centre.
Reporting to the payroll manager, you will join a dedicated team responsible for the accurate processing of weekly and monthly payroll.
Responsibilities include;
* Setting up new starters and processing leavers
* Importing timesheet data into the payroll system
* Calculating working hours, overtime, expenses, deductions and statutory payments
* Checking and amending processed data and submitting final reports to the line manager
* Processing accurate and timely payroll on a weekly and monthly basis
* Effectively and appropriately resolving queries relating to pay
Requirements;
* Previous and recent experience in a similar role
* Ability to process payroll at volume
* Good knowledge of Payroll legislation
* Knowledge of statutory requirements and compliance with such requirements
* Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
* Confidence to communicate with senior members of staff and external bodies
* Good knowledge of Payroll systems
