Warehouse Shift Manager - Nightshift

GBP35 - 40k neg. depending on experience

Location: Thurrock

5 from 7 working basis

Managing a busy operation, the Night Shift Warehouse Manager will be an experienced Section Manager adept at managing people and will have previous warehouse experience.

Reporting to the Warehouse Operations Manager and working to achieve operational KPIs to tight deadlines within a team environment; this position requires someone with a good analytical approach who is results focused.

The successful candidate may be required to work on a '5 from 7' working basis. Hours of work will be predominately 10pm to 6am but flexibility of hours is required with operational needs.

Objectives

  • Lead and motivate team to ensure all operational targets are achieved.

  • Work closely with all colleagues to create a positive and pleasant environment

  • Ensuring an excellent service is always delivered to customers.

  • Reduce accidents, incidents by promoting and implementing Health and Safety

  • Achieve set shift targets ensuring effective deployment of resources and optimum usage of

hours and skills.

  • Help establish and implement 'Best Practice' in a brand new 'Start Up' operation.

  • Achieves warehouse operations operational objectives by ensuring stock is picked and loaded in line with depot KPI's
  • Training, supervising and appraising staff
  • Ensuring that quality objectives and delivery deadlines are met

Profile

  • You will be a strong, motivating and engaging leader, driven by results. You will be comfortable operating at this level and familiar with working nights.

  • A keen understanding of client requirements and the need for continuous improvements to processes.

  • Used to working to and achieving tight daily targets.

  • Proficient in both long term and short-term planning.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels. Flexible and adaptable with strong analytical skills.

  • Exceptional communication skills

  • Experience driving performance and change

  • Worked within FMCG and eCommerce - desired

  • Working with Warehouse Management Systems (Red Prairie) and be PC literate
