This is a fantastic opportunity for an inspirational and visionary Head Teacher to continue to lead the academy through its on-going journey of school improvement.

You will have the leadership qualities to inspire and encourage staff and pupils to achieve their very best and have an innovative, inclusive approach to leadership. Alongside this you will have a passion for creating a rich curriculum and environment where children develop a love of learning.

As an experienced school leader with a proven track record of delivering the highest standards, you will help lead Robert Mellors Primary Academy forward from ‘good’ to ‘outstanding’.

The academy, located in Arnold, Nottingham, is welcoming and friendly with an enthusiastic school leadership team and a supportive local governing body. It is currently undergoing expansion with 310 polite and hard-working pupils and has a fantastic new facility for 2 to 4 year olds. The academy has extensive grounds and surroundings with real scope for outdoor learning and creativity.

This is a very exciting time to join the academy as Robert Mellors recently joined the Redhill Academy Trust as one of its first primaries in the expanding primary hub. The academy also benefits from high quality CPD by being part of the Redhill Teaching School Alliance. The new Head Teacher will benefit from working with a supportive Trust and a forward thinking group of Primary Head Teachers with opportunities to contribute to the future direction of the growing primary hub.

The academy is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all the people in the school, as such all candidates will be asked to demonstrate an understanding of safeguarding children and complete an enhanced DBS check prior to appointment.

How to apply: Please telephone Anne Hall, Primary Operations Lead on 0115 9110402 or email office@carlton.notts.sch.uk and an information pack and an electronic application form will be emailed to you. An informal discussion about the post with the Director of Primary Education can also be arranged. Please contact Anne Hall to arrange this.

Visits to the academy are warmly welcomed and can be organised by contacting the office at Robert Mellors Primary Academy on 0115 8408068 or emailing the Head Teacher at head@robertmellorsprimaryacademy.org.uk.

Closing date: 12pm on Friday, 15th February 2019.
