Membership Advisor

Full time: (37 hours per week) – permanent

Hours: To be worked between 8.30am and 6pm on a rota basis (Job share considered)

Based at the National Watersports Centre, Holme Pierrepont, Nottingham

Salary:  Band 2 –  £18,261

British Canoeing is the United Kingdom's Governing Body for the sport and recreation of canoeing and kayaking.  This is an exciting time to join British Canoeing, as we develop an exciting and ambitious new strategy for paddlesport in the UK (2017-2021). 

A key part of the team responsible for the membership of the organisation, both individual and club members. The successful applicant will have experience of working in a customer focused role and using customer databases. The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate and create a positive, welcoming experience for members as well as supporting the marketing and promotion of our membership. 

This is a varied role within the membership team and key tasks include processing membership payments over the phone or via the post, updating membership records, or responding to membership enquiries. With over 36,000 members accuracy when updating records is vital.

The ideal candidate will have a keen attention to detail and commitment to continually improving quality of services and contribute to development of the database, website and membership processes.

Applicants for this role will be well organised and proactive with excellent written and verbal communication, diplomatic and friendly.  Attention to detail is essential with a flexible attitude and a good work ethic.
