Lecturer in Electrical Installation - Full time

Starting salary of GBP31,533 for non-qualified teachers/GBP33,946.62 for qualified teachers, rising to GBP35,552 with experience in the role and a golden hello payment of up to GBP2000. (GBP25,413 for non-qualified teachers/GBP27,826.62 for qualified teachers, rising to GBP29,432, plus GBP6000 market allowance for holding a relevant level 3 qualification)

We are seeking highly motivated individuals to join our Electrical team within our Engineering & Construction area. If you are looking for a new challenge and would like to utilise your skills and experience whilst developing your own career, this role will be both rewarding and fulfilling. You will pass on your specialist knowledge, and will be developing skills for the future.

Within this role you will teach across both full and part time courses and the key duties of our Lecturers include:

• Delivering high quality teaching and learning
• Guiding and supporting learners, providing pastoral support and care
• Providing appropriate assignment material for each programme and developing our contextual learning
• Monitoring the progress, retention and achievement of learners.

The working hours will usually be 37 per week on Monday to Friday, which may include some evening provision.

Essential requirements are a Level 3 or above qualification or equivalent in the relevant area, and suitable industrial experience. Experience and/or qualifications in teaching and assessing would be advantageous, but is not essential. We welcome applications from people in industry, and will provide the necessary support to obtain your professional teaching qualification and assessor/verifier awards in-house.
