This is an exciting design role in a fast-paced digital business with the remit of creating brand packaging and digital assets that deliver against our brand values and our passion for innovation.
The Graphic Designer - Digital & Packaging Role:
Working within a small team, you will have the responsibility and accountability to create new packaging concepts, label artwork and new digital designs and video to briefs and deadlines and deliver these from concept to reality. There’s a huge degree of autonomy in the role and a real desire to find someone who wants to make a mark in an exciting industry with the most progressive vision on design within the sector. We truly believe in taking things to the next level and this design role is crucial in contributing to that journey. You will learn on the job and be supported by a dynamic and talented team.
This role also works across the business, and involves being able to form lasting and effective working relationships across departments. As we manufacture our own products and have the original Protein Bakery, for print packaging projects you’ll work with our Production Department, New Product Development and our Compliance Team. You’ll also work really closely with key members in our Sales and Marketing Team to bring the brand to life on and offline and this will require you to think commercially as well as creatively.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Create exciting, compelling & functional designs each day that drive the brand forward
+ Be a central and compelling advocate of the brand at all times, and in all activation
+ Adhere to brand guidelines and drive the creating and use of these across the business
+ Ensure you understand briefs, manage expectations and deliver to agreed deadlines
+ Awareness of costs and budgets and drive efficiencies through savings but also through investment to drive process efficiencies
+ Add to the culture of the business through positivity, respect, empathy, understanding and entrepreneurial
+ Build strong and effective relationships across the business
+ Work to a standard that drives world class design with an attitude that’s infectious
+ Develop a sound commercial awareness of our brand and our customer
+ Confidently present design concepts to the client, wider stakeholders and senior management
+ Responsible for meeting personal objectives that are aligned with wider business goals
+ Ensure that you are up to date new design trends, techniques and technology and bring these to the business in a way that we can consider and utilise
Graphic Designer - Digital & Packaging Key Experience/ Skill Sets:
+ Strong Photoshop knowledge
+ Strong Illustrator experience
+ Skills in creating motion graphics an advantage
+ Intermediate use in Aftereffects and Premier preferred
+ Beneficial but not required skills in HTML and CSS
+ Excellent organisational skills and experience of working to deadlines
+ Awareness of JIRA project management too – but not essential
+ 1 year or more in a design role
+ Able to show examples of packaging and digital work at interview
+ Driven self learner
