About the role:
If you’re adept at understanding user needs, skilled at creating compelling content, and love making change happen, our Client wants to hear from you.

Millions of people are locked in poverty in the UK. They don’t believe that’s right. That’s why they’ve made it their mission to solve it. Their new strategy is to work alongside others to build public and political will for change and demand for solutions.

Content Designer is a new role, and a fantastic opportunity to help shape their communications as they integrate design thinking into the way we work.

Gaining a thorough understanding of their users and audiences and their differing needs, you will work in multi-disciplinary teams within the organisation, to get appropriate content shown to the right people in the right place at the right time. You’ll care about designing the best possible user experiences and about producing content that’s timely, accurate, accessible, engaging and high-quality.

You’ll be scoping, commissioning, writing, editing and publishing digital content, working across channels and with suppliers and their own subject experts, interpreting often complex information into engaging communications that will help more people to understand and want to solve UK poverty.

As well as developing and applying content and format strategies, the Content Designer will keep on top of how the content and tools are performing and make constructive suggestions for improvements where needed.

About you:
They are looking for an exceptional communicator who can demonstrate their experience of producing outstanding content that’s tailored to user needs. With advanced copywriting and editing skills, and extensive experience of writing for the web, you will be able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

With the ability to use research and testing techniques to develop an understanding of user needs, you will be a team player who can work with colleagues across departments, and with external stakeholders, including those with lived experience of poverty.

You’ll have a keen interest in their research, analysis and policy solutions, you will get stuck into understanding them, and you’ll have the energy and ideas to develop content that gets the best out of them for their users.

Helpful, thoughtful and professional, you’ll be a digital champion who can build relationships across the organisation, and support and inspire colleagues as we move to matrix working and through digital transformation.

About us:
Our Client is a social change organisation with a 100-year history. They are built on trust, show they care, and exist to make a difference.

They work with others to put forward sector-leading research, evidence, solutions and stories to the UK’s influencers and decision-makers.

They believe that a prosperous poverty-free UK is within reach - they just need more people to believe it too.

To make their vision a reality they need talent, ideas, skills and passion, plus they need to change some of what they do and how they do it. So, they’re embarking on a significant period of change - change that will see them become an outcomes-focused organisation that embraces new ways of working and modern practices.

If you share their passion, then they need to hear from you.

Closing date for applications is Monday 18 February 2019
