My client based in Basildon is looking for forward thinking individuals with a mechanical HGV, Tractor or Plant qualification to work with the Quality control team to carry out competent visual and mechanical inspections and assessments of vehicles, looking for damage or quality control issues in line with the standards set out by our client and their customers.

Hours are expected to be MON - FRI 8 hours a day totalling 40 hours per week, although some weekend work may be required. Starting as Temp-Perm, to become a permanent position after 4 months.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
?? Correctly find vehicle damage, manufacturing or Quality Control issues and record via methods as dictated by our client.

?? To work as an effective member of our clients and customer service teams to ensure a professional product is delivered to the customer and liaise with all required agencies to effectively deliver the service.

. Communicate effectively with the other members of our clients and customer service teams.

?? Ensure you understand the methods & procedures for the inspection, survey or task you are going to perform

?? Adhere to all our client policies, procedures, work with due diligence and obey instructions as required.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
?? Motor Industry related knowledge advantage.
?? Knowledge of vehicle bodywork and parts advantage
?? Able to demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt with the flexibility to change.
?? Ability to understand and follow inspection manuals and routines.
?? Attention to detail.

EXPERIENCE
Essential
?? Proven mechanical experience in the fields of HGV, Tractors or Heavy plant.
?? Customer service related experience.

Desirable
?? Experience of working on own Initiative
?? Experience of working in a vehicle Quality Control environment.

QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
?? Driving license.
. Mechanical qualification in the field of HGV, Tractors or Other heavy plant.

Desirable
. Experience of Vehicle inspection
.Vehicle Body Work
.PC skills (desirable)
