The RZ Group is working closely with a global Engineering client of ours who are looking to recruit a Purchasing Manager who will lead, manage and coordinate all the purchasing, sourcing and supplier quality management within scope of my clients purchasing strategy as well as developing and managing the local purchasing team.

Key duties include:
* Implemented site purchasing strategy with goal to build strong supplier portfolio
* Managed, stable, efficient supplier base with active quality management and follow up
* Stable production through on time to quality delivery of parts from our suppliers and prevention/resolution of shortages through coordinated follow up and expedites
* Balance between long term purchasing strategy and short term operations support

Skills include:
* Flexible and capable of working in a complex environment
* Decision making ability, Strong negotiation skills in purchasing environment
* Advanced leadership, management and communication (written and oral) skills
* High level of personal integrity and compliance with requirement of BCOP (Business Code of Practice).
* Ability to build, hold and maintain relationships at all levels with customers and suppliers.
* Project leadership skills, Proven application of strategic purchasing methods, Supplier performance management

Candidates should have previous experience in management of purchasing/supply chain teams within a manufacturing environment. In return my client is willing to offer a basic salary of up to GBP70,000 plus a great benefits package.
