Engineering Maintenance Manager to join an FMCG manufacturing business and take ownership of the function.

Your new company
This FMCG manufacturing business are currently going through a period of investment across their facility in Lincolnshire with new capital equipment being added which will increase their productivity and capacity. They are currently recruiting for an Engineering Maintenance Manager to lead their on-site engineering teams to ensure that they provide a comprehensive breakdown, planned/preventative maintenance and continuous improvement service to support the overall achievement of their operational goals.

Your new role
As Engineering Maintenance Manager you will lead a team on site comprising of Engineers, Setters and an Administrator with a vision to take their Maintenance activities to the next level. This will be a fast paced role, with plenty of scope on site to make a difference and take ownership of the function. You will ensure that all internal processes and systems are fit for purpose, whilst delivering a constantly evolving high quality engineering maintenance plan that drives performance improvement and internally promote quality/safety standards; focusing on continuous improvement. In addition you will lead on a varied mix of internal projects such as commissioning of new equipment, developing systems to understand the full asset life-cycle costs of machinery and identify any training skills gaps in the engineering team.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a time served Engineer with associated qualifications, who can evidence career development into a managerial role within an FMCG manufacturing / factory environment. You will be passionate about engineering, with a thorough understanding of maintenance philosophies and techniques coupled with the experience of best practice implementation of these. This would suit someone who enjoys coaching and mentoring a busy team, has strong interpersonal / communication skills and the ability to influence, persuade and lead at all levels of the business.

What you'll get in return
You will have full ownership of the function and will be able to influence change across the business, working closely with other senior managers to ensure that operations are working cohesively with the engineering team. The salary on offer is up to £50,000 and you will be working a standard pattern of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday on days only; although some flexibility will be required for certain PPM routines, breakdowns and commissioning new equipment. The business also provide a good benefits package including an employer's contribution into the pension scheme of up to 8%, Private Medical Insurance, Death in Service cover along with a Laptop / Mobile.
