Are you caring and creative?

Could you help some amazing people to communicate, express themselves and connect with the world?

If yes, then our Support Worker job vacancies in Glastonbury may be perfect for you!

About the role

We have a great opportunity for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as a Support Worker in Glastonbury on a casual (bank) basis.

Our casual arrangements are very flexible and can fit around your life. We are looking for people with a wide range of availability and have shifts available in the days, nights, evenings and weekends.

As a Support Worker you will support and enable people to live the life they choose: to make choices, to express themselves and live as independently as possible. Your patient support and encouragement will assist individuals to run their own lives as much as possible - helping with personal care, supporting someone to rustle up some breakfast, do the weekly shop or visit a local caf??.

Sense also supports people to take part in some of our amazing arts and wellbeing activities - from dance to music making, swimming to rock climbing.

Being a Sense Support Worker can be the springboard to your future career - and to all sorts of opportunities and management roles.

*For genuine occupational reasons we are looking to appoint females only (exemption under the Equality Act 2010 Part 1 Schedule 9).

About us

Sense is a national charity that supports people who are deafblind, those with sensory impairments and those with complex needs, to enjoy more independent lives.

Working as a Support Worker at Sense can be incredibly rewarding; we offer the opportunity to work in a large, diverse and successful charity where people can develop their skills, knowledge and careers in a supportive and flexible environment.

About you

Experience is not necessarily required for this role as we are able to support you and provide you with an excellent induction. However, it is really important that you are able to demonstrate the right values and behaviours to enable you to make a difference to people's lives.

Our selection process aims to make sure that the role is right for you and you are right for us. It involves completing an online application form, taking part in a value based interview/assessment process and visiting one of our services.

If you would like more information on the role please contact Jo Pearse.

No agencies please.
