A global leader in the supply of engineering simulation software is currently seeking a Sales Director to lead their Aerospace & Defence division. Working for an established entity with locations worldwide, this is an excellent opportunity for a Sales Director to join a truly global organisation and make an impact on their sales growth within this market. Scope of work Representing one of the worlds largest suppliers of engineering simulation software into the Aerospace and Defence markets, as Sales Director you will be tasked with maximising revenues across these sectors. Developing both brand new business development and existing customer accounts, the Sales Director will initial focus on their own direct sales efforts before building a team dedicated to these industries. A highlycustomer facing role, the Sales Director will be responsible for developing strategic plans to ensure revenue growth across all of the companys products and services, coordinating company resources to ensure consistent sales in the process. Leading the whole sales process from initial RFQ through to closing negotiations, you will position the company on profitable, strategic programmes with customers. It is critical that as Sales Director, you are able to nurture profitable longterm relationships with customers to ensure growth moving forward. It is also important that, due to the senior nature of this position, you able to commute to their Oxfordshire or Yorkshire facility on a daily basis when not out on the road winning business. For the first couple of months, you will be required to spent significant time onsite down at their Oxfordshire facility in order to become familiar with the business and complete necessary product training programmes. You will: Have a proven record selling software into the aerospace and defence industries Possess a track record of closing software orders of more than GBP500,000 and selling large scale consulting engagements. Be experienced in managing a team of sales professionals Be willing to travel across the United Kingdom and, on occasion, Europe to visit customers. A network of contacts across the European Aerospace & Defence markets.
