Job Title: Business Development Director

Base Salary: GBP40,000 - GBP50,000pa + Bonus & Benefits

Location: London

Our client require a dynamic and results orientated Business Development Director. It's an exciting, varied, high-profile role, and one that affords plenty of opportunity for growth across the Group. The role will be predominately generating new business and selling online marketing contracts across a broad cross section of industries.

Responsible to: Director of Sales Operations

Main Duties of the Role

  • Prospecting and growing sales pipeline, handling pre-qualified leads and making cold calls to gather leads and close sales
  • Seeking out new clients and new sales opportunities
  • Initiating action plans to approach and secure new business
  • Negotiation and closure of new business opportunities
  • Face to face client meetings
  • Acting as an ambassador for the Group you will have the knowledge, gravitas and authority to impress
  • Providing leadership in a pitch preparation and delivery scenario, orchestrating the order of play and ensuring the optimum demonstration of the team's skills and experience in response to client requirements
  • Answering client queries and providing relevant information to ensure the company's maximum sales potential is realised
  • Assisting in the mentoring and development of the business acquisition team
  • Preparing sales presentations, proposals and contracts
  • Updating all information internal systems
  • Keeping up to date with industry and company trends and developments
  • Ensuring monthly and quarterly sales targets are met

Ideal candidate will

  • Have at least 5 years B2B sales experience
  • You will be a strategic commercial leader with demonstrable experience in a B2B environment
  • Ideally have sales experience or technical understanding of SEO or PPC
  • Ideally have agency experience
  • You will be capable of establishing rapport, credibility and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders at all levels both internally and externally
  • Have an excellent and demonstrable sales record. Dealing with blue chip clients would be a distinct advantage although not essential
  • Be commercially aware with an ability to maximize opportunities
  • Stay abreast of digital trends and research and advise of prospective markets
  • Have excellent communication and negotiation skills and will be articulate with a high standard of written English and presentation skills
  • Have an ability to manage workload and priorities
  • Be motivational and inspire trust, confidence and enthusiasm
  • Be polished, professional and sophisticated
  • Have the maturity and gravitas to deal with and influence senior decision makers
  • Advanced use of Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint
