About the Learning Mentor role
As a Learning Mentor at the school, you will be working in different functions across the school that best matches your core degree subject. You will be encouraging the academic development and supporting the needs of the students by working with them 1:1 and by leading group 'booster' sessions. In this Learning mentor role, you will be supporting the needs of students with AEL as-well as SEN so the ability to build lasting and meaningful relations as-well as patience is essential. You will be fully supported by the school in your Learning Mentor role and will receive further support from an experienced SENCo.
Graduate Specification - Learning Mentor
-You should have at least a 2:2 in your core subject degree and GCSE 'C' grade in English and Maths
-You should have a passion for valuable education
-Experience working with children is preferred but not essential
-You should be able to quickly build close and professional relationships with both the students and the teachers
