Planning Officer - Aylesbury

Salary: Negotiable depending on skills and experience
An urgent requirement has become available for an experienced Planning Officer to join a busy Local Authority's development management team in Buckinghamshire. The successful Planning Officer will be working alongside senior members of the team to approve major residential and commercial planning applications.
Qualifications:
In this instance applications are sought from candidates with a relevant planning degree (or equivalent) and full membership to the RTPI.
Experience:
It is anticipated that the successful Planning Officer will have a strong understanding of local government planning regime and will be able to successfully manage their own workload, develop and deliver planning services and give expert pre-planning advice.
Duties:
* Liaising with customers and colleagues
* Preparing committee reports
* Defining both major and minor planning applications within government time frames
* Dealing with appeals
* Streamlining internal processes
