Description
The Head of Marketing will lead a small team but still remain 'hands on' in all Marketing activity, responsibilities include:
- Manage marketing efforts across all lines of business and marketing channels including live events, advertising, website, online, social, video and telemarketing.
- Manage media relations efforts across print, online and social
- Lead and grow a team of multi-disciplinary professionals to help scale the marketing efforts over time (currently consisting of an events manager, a marketing assistant, a freelance content writer and external PR & SEO agency)
- Manage content development efforts across brochures, flyers, white papers, case studies and success stories
- Own the entire marketing process from idea to execution to measuring ROI
- Create a content calendar for the company and partner with internal and external resources to ensure original B2B content get produced for video, blogs, white papers and webinars
- Execute profitable lead generation campaigns across all marketing channels
- Closely monitor and analyse performance of all demand generation activities and make and implement optimisation recommendations on a regular basis
- Develop and manage a closed loop lead management process with sales to maximise marketing and sales investment
- Manage and build a world-class customer and target prospect database with multiple relevant contacts per target organisation
- Regularly identify growth opportunities and areas for additional marketing resource investments
- Communicate demand generation strategy and results across the entire company and work with the executive team to ensure successful execution
Profile
The successful candidate will have a demonstrable track record within B2B marketing , ideally gained in a technology business. In addition you will have:
- Experience in marketing with particular emphasis on demand generation
- Extensive experience with setting up and managing successful marketing campaigns across events, advertising, website, online, social, video and telemarketing
- Experience leading a team of multi-disciplinary professionals to successfully plan and execute marketing programmes
- Strong understanding of the marketing funnel and steps required to move prospects from enquiry to qualified lead and sales validation
- Proven experience working closely with sales as a partner to drive revenue
- Experienced used of marketing automation software such as Marketo, Eloqua, Pardot and/or Hubspot
- Results-oriented professional with a proven track record of getting stuff done and achieving goals
- Top-notch quantitative and analytical skills with an ability to turn data into actionable highlights
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for internal and external audiences
- Desire to work in a fast paced environment where your work is critical to the company's long term success
