Commercial Consultants (UK) Ltd - The Engineering Recruitment Specialists are working closely with a market leader in the PCV Transportation industry on an exclusive assignment to secure a permanent Mechanical Fitter to work as a Bus Mechanic / PSV Technician / HGV Engineer.The Mechanical Fitter / Bus Mechanic / PSV Technician / HGV Engineer will have a strong background in mechanical or electrical engineering including strong fault finding experience and the ability to diagnose faults using schematics, diagrams, the latest diagnostic and test equipment.We are looking for people from an ex forces background / an automotive background as the succesful Mechanical Fitter will be developed into being competent in the following areas:
* Inspecting and maintaining PSV / PCV / Buses to company standards
* Diagnosing faults efficiently and effectively by road testing vehicles using the latest diagnostic and test equipment
* Undertaking planned and preventative maintenance to ensure the fleet of buses remains roadworthy.
The work will involve maintenance, servicing and overhauling commercial vehicles and the successful Bus Mechanic / PSV Technician / HGV Engineer must demonstrate the ability to work to the high standards set by this market leader along with VOSA and other stakeholders.Extensive training is available for candidates, and in addition, there are competitive benefits available including a contributory pension scheme, excellent holiday entitlements, protective clothing, PCV licence and job security all coupled with training and good career development opportunities.This is a permanent position and as such, Commercial Consultants (UK) Ltd is acting as an employment agency on behalf of our client.
