Every day in the UK around 28 babies, children and young people die, and 111 children are bereaved of a parent. Child Bereavement UK exists to ensure all families have the support they need to rebuild their lives when a child grieves or when a child dies.Over the past 4 years, Child Bereavement UK has dramatically increased its income from c.GBP1m to c.GBP3m per year. There are still gaps in bereavement support across the UK and they now seek a new Director of Fundraising to deliver the next stage of growth across a range of income streams.Sitting on the SMT, this post reports to the CEO. You will play a pivotal role in helping the charity realise its vision through strategic leadership across established and developing areas of fundraising. The current team is made up of 14 talented and driven fundraisers, committed to changing lives every day. The organisation has a track record of investing in new fundraising activities and will continue to do so in the future. Indeed, it has just invested in new Regional/Community and Individual Giving fundraising functions.When in post, you will lead the development and delivery of strategic, multi-year plans which deliver sustainable growth. You will provide visionary leadership to the fundraising team whilst continuing the organisation's first-class stewardship of its impressive group of patrons and high profile supporters. We are looking for someone who has led, and grown, fundraised income of at least GBP3m p.a. in a charity setting.
