We currently have an exciting newly formed opportunity for a CSR Reporting Project Manager to join and be a part of an exciting project, working closely with the Group CSR & Sustainability Manager on a nine month fixed term basis.


The role will be reporting to and working closely with the Group CSR and Sustainability Manager to deliver auditable and accurate beneficiaries/volunteering CSR reporting that will support Santander UK's purpose to help people and businesses prosper. You will be responsible for identifying enabling technology and designing processes to drive reports automation and standardisation. This will involve assessing the current monitoring and evaluation system and methodology, assessing business needs, understanding the various data sources and implementing the appropriate processes and technology to drive automation, standardisation and data quality for beneficiaries and volunteering activities tracking and reporting. The objective is to reduce the time that the CSR team spends on administration work, improve data quality and reliability, and enable the team to become more digital and fit for purpose.

As a Sustainability Strategy Manager your main responsibilities will be

  • Assessing the current monitoring and evaluation system, the business requirements and understanding the various beneficiaries data sources for beneficiaries reporting by liaising with stakeholders across the business, external partners and senior stakeholders.
  • Selecting enabling technology and designing appropriate processes to drive automation, simplification, standardisation and data quality for CSR/community/volunteering activities tracking and reporting.
  • Deploying tools and design processes that reduce administration time and costs - transition from Excel to digital technologies and applications while guaranteeing business continuity throughout the implementation of the new M&E system. Reconcile data and ensure consistency/accuracy throughout the transition.
  • Suggesting strategies and tools to the Group CSR & Sustainability team to proactively manage and drive the delivery of beneficiaries targets and supporting the establishment of strategic partnerships to achieve targets.
  • Enabling accurate, automated monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual progress reports that provide analytics and statistics on beneficiaries and CSR/community/volunteering activities

Minimum skills and experience required

  • Ability to design an innovative solution to a complex problem. Strong analytical and problem solving skills and ability to manage complex projects and data. Ability to manage internal/external stakeholder (including senior stakeholders)
  • Creative and technologically savvy, with flexible thinking and ability to generate alternative solutions, gain consensus and do contingency planning.
  • Experience in CSR, Non-for-Profit and Monitoring and Evaluation space possibly with a consultancy background and track record of driving change across complex organisations, managing conflicting priorities/requirements
  • Strong communications/influencing skills. Ability to persuades and influence others using reasoned arguments and consistently seeking mutual understanding and building consensus
  • Excellent with data management, analytics and Excel.
