Job Title: Resettlement WorkerSalary: GBP20,528 - GBP21,528 per annumHours: 37.5 per annum - The service operates between 8am and 6pm Monday to Friday, but actual working hours will be determined by the needs of the service.Leave: 30 days holiday per annum plus bank holidays (currently 8 per year). This is pro-rated for any employees working less than 37.5 hours per weekLocation: Preston, Lancaster, Accrington, Blackpool, Kendal and Barrow About the Role HMP Resettlement Workers will be required to deliver a professional, impartial pragmatic and outcome focussed Resettlement Service to offenders within all relevant resettlement prisons. This will be undertaken on site or via outreach to additional HMP locations within the CPA. Resettlement Workers will contribute to HMP Induction programme, working with Peers to identify prisoner needs, delivering immediate interventions and updating resettlement plans, as applicable. Resettlement Workers will be responsible for: Completion of Resettlement plans for each offenderDelivery of induction, group work, wing surgeries and pre-release planning.Completion of agreed housing, finance and debt interventions.Coordination of employment and 'other pathway' interventions by managing referrals to appropriate providers.Ensuring case details are entered onto the agreed Case Management systems (such as OASys, CRC systems and Shelter recording tool) accurately and punctually. Some HMP locations are difficult to reach with the use of Public Transport. It is therefore preferable for candidates to have a full driver's license and access to a vehicle with relevant insurance. About the Service Shelter are working across the North of England to deliver the new Transforming Rehabilitation Service. Specifically, in Cumbria and Lancashire CPA the service comprises of a resettlement element, based in the four prisons and a community integration element based in the CRC offices across the Cumbria and Lancashire CPA. About the Team Position will be working within the Prisons Team. Based in one CPA: substantive location at one prison but with an expectation to work across multiple HMP locations within CPA, as required. The function of the team is deliver an integrated resettlement service, including, but not limited to, the following: Complete resettlement plans for all offenders within 5 days of BSCT 1 completion.Support Peers in the delivery of induction sessions for all offenders on reception.Deliver housing, finance and debt interventions via group and one to one appointments.Supporting with employment retention, searches, application and CV writing as part of pre-release planning - signposting as appropriate to services in custody and the communityCoordinate referrals to appropriate agencies to deliver additional pathway interventions.Complete pre-release planning, including review of agreed interventions, actioning any outstanding Areas of Concern and preparation for release.
