An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Infrastructure & Operations professional in the NHS Digital program, designing, building and supporting the systems to provide modern digital health services to the nation.
The role
We are looking for the right candidate to be part of our Business Applications team, to support and administer a wide range of bespoke and off the shelf applications.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Extensive experience of providing application support to users
- Extensive experience of administering large scale applications
- Experience of Service Management Tools
- Experience of Development skill using ASP.NET
- Experience of Microsoft Office 365
- Understanding or incident, release and change processes.
You will be working with other infrastructure and operations specialists, and a variety of other teams to achieve your goals. You will be expected to be proactive and work on your own initiative.
Candidates will be expected to demonstrate, or be capable of developing; excellent leadership and problem solving skills, negotiation and facilitation skills and be able to support NHS Digital in achieving its goals.
Applicants should note that as part of this role they may be required to work some unsociable hours. This could involve ad-hoc out of hours work to undertake system maintenance activities and to respond to service issues.
About you
You will have a successful track record of working in a complex environment, with the ability to work autonomously. You will be responsible for working with other teams to ensure that NHS Digital's continual ability to provide services underpinned by technology.
