An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dynamic manager who is results focussed, resilient and with the ability to drive the development of effective working relationships across our partners, volunteers and stakeholders within the London education and business landscape.

The STEM Ambassador Programme is the 'go to' place for effective, high impact STEM support by volunteers; enabling them to support organisations, schools/colleges, youth and community groups. Being recognised as a regional point of call across London for STEM Partners, employers and schools.

We are seeking a self-motivated professional with a positive, enthusiastic and mature approach to their work. You will lead and manage the London STEM Ambassadors Hub. With your team of four coordinators, colleagues and other external stakeholders you will deliver a dynamic, and innovative programme which continually improves the experience of our volunteer STEM Ambassadors and the schools and community settings they engage with.

Ideally, you will have a good knowledge and understanding of STEM education, schools/colleges, skills issues and the London landscape, however we will consider applications from all sectors where you have proven experience of driving forward and delivering high quality relationship management to key customers and partners within your industry.

Experience of working with volunteers, understanding the drivers and managing expectations of stakeholders is desirable and we expect you to be creative, problem solve and have excellent all round communication skills. The ability to think analytically and strategically along with advanced project management skills will also be key to successfully delivering the programme.

The National STEM Learning Centre and Network is a key UK resource for supporting STEM teaching and learning through provision of CPD, resources, online communities in partnership with a wide range of organisations and individuals. This includes driving forward ongoing development of the STEM Ambassadors and STEM Clubs programmes alongside subject-specific support for all involved in the teaching of science, technology, engineering and mathematics to young people.

Remuneration and benefits

Salary to GBP40k dependent on experience. Full time - 37hrs per week. Appointment to this role enables access to the USS pension scheme, 30 days holiday plus bank holidays and a wide range of staff benefits.
