A multi-award winning nanotechnology company are looking for bright Physical Scientist (Chemist, Materials Scientist or Physicist) to join their research & development group as an R&D Technician. As an R&D Technician you will apply your knowledge of sample preparation, processing operations and surface science / analysis to develop the next generation of functional nano-coatings and their applications.

To be considered for the role of R&D Technician (Process Scientist, Physicist, Chemist, Materials Scientist) you need the following:
Education:
Essential:
- A Master's Degree (MChem, MPhys, MSci, MEng, MA, MRes, MPhil) degree (2.1 or above) in Chemistry, Physics or Materials Science
Experience
- Prior experience working in an R&D /Science laboratory setting.
- A background in materials fabrication, characterisation & analysis
- Experience of surface analytical techniques such as SEM/EDX, AFM, XPS, SIMS & standard material analysis techniques such as XRD, FTIR, DSC, TGA
- Microsoft Office (good working knowledge of Powerpoint, Excel and Word) Desirable
- Experience of product or process development (PECVD, CVD, Vapour Deposition etc )
