An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Structural Engineer to join our client based in Folkestone, Kent. In return, they will offer you a competitive salary, 21 days holiday, auto enrollment company pension scheme and onsite parking.
The successful Structural Engineer will:
Be as a minimum a recently Chartered or Incorporated member of IStructE and/or ICE with a minimum of five years structural design experience.
Ideally have a wide knowledge of the UK construction industry and the sectors which operate within it. A proportion or our work is within the rail sector therefore experience in this area would be advantageous but not essential.
Experience of structural design software packages is essential as is the knowledge of the BSI and Eurocodes. Training in our specific software packages will be given.
Stakeholder liaison both pre and post design will be necessary and the successful candidate will be involved with schemes at all stages of development, ranging in values of up to GBP7M (construction value).
Have a full UK driving licence.
The position will be based in Folkestone but may necessitate working from other regional offices and travel to/from our construction sites nationwide, wherever the need arises. Applicants should hold a full UK driving licence.
