Job Title: New Client Team Litigation Assistant

Location: Manchester, M22

Salary: starting salary of £15,500

Our Client is within top 200 Law firm that specialises in personal injury. Established in 2000 and they are a leading personal injury firm that prides ourselves in the work they do helping injured people.

They are currently looking to hire a number of law graduates to join our new client team with fast track promotion to a paralegal role within one of our work areas. The new roles are due to the internal promotions of existing members of staff.

Definite progression - all of our training contracts have been awarded to internal candidates. Half of our partners did their training contracts with the firm. We currently have 15 trainee Solicitors within the firm. Training contracts are offered on a rolling start and can start immediately once candidates have proved themselves.

Salary & Commission - we offer a great starting salary of £15,500, with a generous realistic commission structure, where 99% of our graduate team take home commission every single month worth on average £2,000 per annum.

Job Role:

You will be responsible for the client's experience from first contact until retention. You will obtain all relevant details of a client's claim and review this information with a Partner on a regular basis. Using their case-management system you will record and update all client information regarding individual cases.

You will also be responsible for the administration of your files such as preparing the files for handover, attention to detail is vital.

The above list is not exhaustive and as a Litigation Assistant in the New Client Team you are responsible for all new clients that come into the firm. You must ensure that a client's experience with the New Client team is positive.

The working hours are:

Monday-Thursday 9:30am-6:30pm and Friday 9:30am-6pm, with 1 hour for lunch daily.

There will also be a smart phone rota, where one member of the team will take home a smart phone and answer any calls outside of office hours until 10pm. It is expected that this will be, one night every fortnight. A bonus will be payable on this night.

Holiday Entitlement

  • 23 days per year. NCT will close on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years' Day. Any bank holidays worked will be awarded with 1.5x back.
