Specialist Biomedical Scientist, Histology

An exciting opportunity has arisen based in Basildon, for an experienced  Specialist Biomedical Scientist to join our client's team.

They are currently looking for enthusiastic HCPC Specialist BMS, who are eligible to work in the UK; are self-motivated and focused on quality to join their busy, professional and friendly teams. Their roles available operate within a Histologist laboratory.

This is an opportunity to progress your Biomedical Science education/knowledge and skills with support available for IBMS expert practice/Higher Specialist Diploma, other post graduate qualifications including MSc and first level management training.

Required Skills and Experience:

The successful candidate will have:

• Specialist portfolio or equivalent and at least 3 years post registration experience in specialism of Histology
• High degree of accuracy, numeracy, interpretive skills and good problem solving skills
• Good knowledge and experience of LIMS and computer applications including Word, Excel, Power Point, Access and Statistical Packages
• Advanced working knowledge of various automated techniques, practices and analytical platforms within their chosen pathology discipline.
• Competency to perform testing and validate results to defined protocols.
• Highly skilled in the use of the latest biomedical techniques and complex instrumentation, alongside more traditional manual methods of investigation

Salary:  £26565 - £35577 pa, pension+Joining bonus+Training
