Field Service Engineer
(CIJ/Inkjet/Coding & Marking)
Leeds
GBP28,000.00 - GBP30,000.00 per annum DOE + overtime
Any hours worked over 40 hours will be paid at time and a half and double on Sundays (if required)
Plus car, laptop and mobile provided
Our client is a well-backed, newly established business set up within the UK to act as the sole distributor for their manufacturing partner who has been trading for over fifteen years. They are one of the leading manufacturers of coding and marking equipment who supply into many industries including food and beverage, building materials, life sciences and cosmetics, aerospace, automotive and electronics; as well as supplying these products they also offer service, repair, parts, integration and training to deliver a complete turn-key solution.
We are recruiting for an ambitious Field Service Engineer who has strong goals and career aspirations; this is an excellent chance to join a company at a very exciting stage of their development. A training programme will be provided for you which will cover all the products that the client wishes you to maintain, service and repair - all that is required in terms of experience is a stable employment history and field or site engineering experience. Duties and Responsibilities:
??Undertake all servicing activities on clients' premises throughout the UK
??Install, repair, maintain and service customers' printing technologies such as Ink-jet/CIJ/coding & marking printers/Laser marking systems/
??Communicate with the Service Manager by utilising the internal job allocation system
??Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism
??Identify sales leads and pass onto the sales team
??Produce engineer, maintenance and installation reports on activity
??Support continuous improvement techniques and problem-solving processes to improve efficiency
Experience, Knowledge and Skills Required:
??Previous experience of engineering in the field is essential and ideally from the coding and marking industry/CIJ and thermal and laser printer industry
??An understanding of integration signals is essential and any experience with PLC integrations would be considered a distinct advantage however full training will be provided
??Being flexible in terms of UK travel
??Having the ability to make important decisions and cope with working to demanding targets and tight deadlines
??Possessing strong IT skills (Microsoft Office packages)
??A clean driving license is essential
