Partnerships

Part of our Housebuilding Division, Partnerships represents a fusion of contracting, housing and mixed-use regeneration expertise. We undertake design and build contracting, mixed tenure and speculative development, estate regeneration and property support services nationwide. We work in collaborative long-term arrangements with Registered Providers, Local Authorities and other stakeholders to build high quality housing and sustainable communities.

Role Overview:

The management and control of the construction operations of the Business, ensuring the safe and efficient running of nominated projects

Key Responsibilities:

- Leadership and management of the nominated sector Operations Department Team and its function.
- Participate in the development of the business unit and Operational strategies and advise on the impact of Business Unit Initiatives.
- Ensure that all operations are carried out in an efficient, safe and economic manner, with a view to the protection of the company's interests, client satisfaction and repeat business.
- Ensure projects are accurately and correctly reported, both in terms of progress and cost. Chair monthly cost review meetings with Commercial Managers to verify project reports. Present results to the Board, with all information relevant to current position and expected outcome.
- Review the resource levels for proposed and current live projects, ensuring it is sufficient to carry out operations. Identify recruitment requirements and obtain necessary resources as appropriate.
- Directly manage selected projects with detailed key accountabilities as in Contracts Manager job description function.
- Review the performance of subordinates. Act on review information as laid down in the company policies and procedures.
- Ensure new starters are inducted into the Health, Safety & Sustainability, Quality Assurance, BMS and Management procedures by the appropriate person. Ensure the teams implement the systems accordingly, attend audits and close out any identified non-conformances.
- Be aware of any changes to legislation relevant to operational elements of the business and disseminate this to subordinates.
- Be pro-active in problem solving, finding solutions to obstacles for the benefit of the business. Share lessons learnt and feedback to relevant members of staff and Directors.
- On projects involving sales liaise with the Sales Managers and Staff to agree matters which effect each department i.e. production on site to achieve sales targets, specification, Customer requirements etc.
- On Linden Homes branded projects ensure full compliance with the 'Linden Way' policy & procedures.
- During and upon completion of projects liaise and monitor customer relationships to ensure Customer Satisfaction is maintained.

Experience and Qualifications:

- You will be a member of a professional body, eg; CIOB
- You will hold the relevant CSCS card
- Good communication verbally and in written form.
- Hold current first aid certification
- Present a clean and tidy site and have a good understanding of the considerate contractor's requirements to achieve high scores.
- Good understanding and implementation of GT BMS paperwork processes.
- Report all breach of Health and Safety Rules and Regulations to the Line Manager.
- Make recommendation of material and plant requirements to the site manager
