Acorn Recruitment is seeking a Maintenance Leader for a fast paced, global manufacturing business in Bristol, due to continued growth and brand development.
Salary - GBP37,000 to GBP45,000pa
Day Shift
Main scope of the role:
To lead the Maintenance Department in the delivery of maintenance services, both proactive and reactive, across the Yate manufacturing facility.
Main duties:
*Coordinating maintenance activities to achieve results that have a positive impact on the efficiency of the production site, ensuring good positive relationships with all internal customers.
*Day to day management of the maintenance technicians; including absence management, individual project reviews, conducting performance reviews & quarterly appraisals and reward and recognition.
*Focal point for SAP maintenance module, reporting out on performance to plan
*Take ownership for the implementation of the Production System tools, processes and SOP's
*Coordinate and supervise external companies working for maintenance
*Conduct root cause analysis for exceptional breakdowns and identify appropriate improvements
*Develop preventative maintenance techniques (condition based monitoring etc)
*Developing maintenance team and liaising with HR and IEM on development activities.
*Actively contributing to continuous improvement meetings and implementing agreed actions.
*Leading with the company values.
Education
*Essential - a time served apprentice with a minimum HND
*Desirable - HND Mechatronics & degree educated or equivalent
Experience
*Experience of working within maintenance in a high volume manufacturing.
*Proven track record of managing a team and delivering performance.
*Used to working in an environment of high production volumes and complex products.
*Experience of working within a large organisation is desirable
*Experience of leading and implementing cultural change within a team
Skills and Knowledge
*Technical knowledge and understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and PLC production processes.
*Computer-literate, being fully conversant with MS Excel, Word and Power-Point.
*Excellent communication and people management skills.
*Excellent organisation and planning with a proactive approach.
*Knowledge of SAP Stores and SAP Maintenance would be desirable

*Resilient to work in a tough environment
*Able to gain respect of others and their 'buy in'.
