LOCATION: Preston
JOB TITLE: Senior Account Manager
SALARY & BENEFITS: Up to GBP28,000 per annum, uncapped commission and car allowance
WORKING HOURS: Full Time (Monday - Friday) plus additional hours when required
THE COMPANY: Our client is a leading media and information business covering the global agribusiness sector. Their brands deliver premium news, analysis, data, pricing, insight and market intelligence. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Account Manager to join their team in Preston.
THE ROLE: The successful applicant will have responsibility for providing strategic account leadership of key accounts, making proactive recommendations to enhance their online digital marketing output resulting in the growth of base revenue.
Key responsibilities for the Senior Account Manager role is to include:-
Support, develop and guide the sales force in digital development
Conduct sales presentations by telephone and face to face to key accounts and prospective clients, in order to develop existing business and generate new business across a range of category sectors
Work to achieve individual and team revenue and productivity targets
Plan and lead commercial projects, set up tracking and report on progress
Maintain complete, up to date and accurate training files and customer records
Undertake and conduct training courses; coach and train the team
Create category development plans
Liaise and develop relationships with other departments around the digital strategy
THE CANDIDATE: The successful applicant for the Senior Account Manager will have excellent influencing skills and the ability to work closely with a multi-disciplinary team of passionate sector experts. You will be enthusiastic and motivated to keep up with digital marketing trends and developments, creating learning recommendations as appropriate. You will have a positive, "can do" attitude and you will need to live within a commutable distance to Preston.
Key skills and experience for the Senior Account Manager role:-
Previous successful track record within a sales and/or account management role gained within a digital media sales environment would be a distinct advantage
A full UK drivers licence is required as the role involves regular travel across the UK
Minimum of three years' direct sales and business development experience
Multi-platform sales experience
Experience within the Agricultural industry is advantageous
