Excellent career development opportunity for a candidate with detailed vehicle inspection or Body shop Experience to join a leading Automotive Industry Supplier at the BMW Vehicle preparation Site in Southampton.


Purpose of the Vehicle Quality Inspector Role:

  • Carry out vehicle Quality control inspections as required to ensure Workshop process quality is maintained
  • Provide details of all vehicles audited on a daily basis for BMW audit purposes and internal charging.
  • Make correct decisions on repair methods required and the addition of the damage responsibility codes.
  • Validate and confirm System reported vehicle damage using BMW Systems


To carry out full AQ factory audits as required to a pre-described level of vehicles/units in line with BMW factory requirements on both outer surface and specification quality, inputting all findings into a BMW quality system.

To support the Vehicle Handover process as required and in line with BMW and process standards

Any other reasonable request for cover in other areas in line with business needs and role responsibility.

Due to the brand image and customer expectations, vehicles must always be prepared to the highest standards to ensure brand image and residual values are maintained you will be expected to drive quality from the front end of the process.

Significance of Role:

  • A critical role in the successful delivery of the our service as this role provides the oversight and delivery of all audit quality and coordination of all provided service delivery.
  • The focal point for Quality Control delivery.
  • Significant contribution to overall efficiency, effectiveness and contract profitability and must therefore all play its part in overall delivery of service.
