Finance Technician - Insurer Reconciliations
Location: Milton Keynes
Contract type: Part Time Permanent - 17.5 hours per week
Remuneration: GBP16,000 - GBP18,000 pro rata depending on experience + benefits

They are currently looking to recruit a Part Time Finance Technician to join the Insurer Reconciliations team in Milton Keynes.
The purpose of the role is to manage your own portfolio of Insurer Accounts and provide a high level service throughout.
Duties include:
- Responsibility for ensuring efficient and compliant handling of own portfolio in line with FCA, CASS and compliance requirements
- Agreement and settlement to insurers of all balances invoiced within their credit terms.
- Work with branches and insurers to resolve queries preventing settlement of premiums to insurers with set Finance targets
- Collection of return premiums and paid direct commissions from insurers within in credit terms
- Reconciliation of all insurer contra items every month within set Finance targets
- Liaise with Credit Control team regarding client not paid entries
- Assist with the Legacy project in understanding and clearing down any transactions remaining in your portfolio outside of credit terms.
- All relevant paperwork is attached when raising insurer payments, as per the payment process.
- Assist the Financial Controls team in keeping the Standard operating procedures up to date, with any significant changes
- Working alongside the Financial Controls team in keeping the Insurer Bank details log up to date
- Responsible for reporting any client money breaches immediately with a Team Leader in their absence report directly to the Financial Controls team and the Head of Finance Operations, no later than 5 working days of it being identified
Skills and Experience:
- Experience within a similar Finance/Accounts role would be an advantage however full training is given
- High level of attention to detail and ability to follow processes
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Good numeracy skills - min GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent)
Working hours are Monday - Friday, 17.5 per week ideally spread over 3 days however flexible in terms of start/finish time.
