Our client supplies water to 685,000 people in the London Boroughs of Sutton, Merton, and Croydon, as well as across East Surrey and parts of Kent. They are a forward thinking, innovative company that is highly regarded for their efficiency and customer service.

They currently have an opportunity for a Vehicle Maintenance Technician to join their team in Redhill. You will provide a skilled vehicle maintenance services to their fleet, mobile plant and external customer vehicles. Carrying out MOT’s, servicing, repairs, diagnostics and maintenance with due regard to quality procedures.

You will also prepare vehicles requiring Plate Test, collect and deliver vehicles when needed and answer some calls to give advice. Further to this you may need to carry out breakdown repairs, either within or outside normal working hours.

To be successful the candidate will hold a relevant qualification and have knowledge of DVSA requirements. Due to the nature of the role a full driving license is required.

The Ideal candidate will have worked as a Mechanic / Maintenance Fitter role previously, with experience / knowledge of using equipment such as diagnostic, gas and electrical welding, hydraulic lifting and towing. You’ll need to have knowledge of relevant health, safety and environmental legislation and be computer literate.

Please note you are required to provide you own basic tools for this position. Specialist equipment such as diagnostic equipment; gas and electric welding equipment; hydraulic lifting equipment; towing equipment will be provided, however knowledge of these is essential.
