Position:
We are currently working with a very well and established Building Services consultancy that are working on a number of exciting BIM projects. The successful candidate will be joining a face paced and dedicated CAD / Design Team.
This position offers very real and excellent opportunity for the right candidate to progress from 2D M&E CAD Technician work to working daily with 3D Revit MEP and BIM projects.
We are looking for a Senior CAD Technician with good MEP experience; capable of working autonomously, from marked-up drawings.
The role is a 2D AutoCAD MEP Technician. However, due to the company's increasing BIM work, we expect this role will evolve to include Revit work; so, some Revit training/experience would be advantageous.
For the right candidate, this role has real future prospects of working in Revit, within a company actively, and increasingly, using BIM.
Duties include:
• Preparing Architects' drawings for use as xreferences.
• Amending 2D drawings (including schematics) to Engineers' mark-ups.
• Producing co-ordinated, multi-service 2D drawings with minimal instruction.
• Liaising directly with Engineering team to ensure we meet client needs and projects are delivered on programme.
• Issuing drawings.
• Externally you will be required to liaise with Clients, Architects and Contractors, maintaining good business relationships with all members of the team.
Required Experience:
• Multi-disciplined (Mechanical & Electrical).
• Good solid UK experience within Building Services.
• Excellent knowledge and passion for building services.
Favourable Attributes:
• Live within easy commute to the company.
• Experience of commercial plant room design & district heating systems.
• Experience of hotel projects.
• Revit training / experience.
